So yeah, yet again I've been missing. I've been peeking on and watching my stalkees but I haven't been putting up much for photos of the chins. I really would like to get a spot set up in the house here to take actual shots of them with props and all that jazz. *sigh* someday.
Not to much new to say. Hopefully we'll be having our first baby born of 2007 so if all goes well we'll have baby shots up soon!

I have been just terrible lately at keeping things up. I haven't been taking photos of the chins like I used to...just not right.
Well whats new in the world of ChillaQ you may ask??
Well we went to show in February, we brought 2 of our boys down to show. Aspen our pink white got a 1st place, Hercules one of our mosaics got a 3rd. We replaced Hercules with a 1a male who I have yet to name or put into breeding, just haven't found the right name or girl for him yet. Also picked up a gorgeous dark standard female. WooHoo, haven't done anything with her breeding wise either.
In April we took in a group of rescues, 4 females and 2 males. I've been trying to rehome the males with no luck. I'll be adding the females to that list once we're certain their not pregnant and if they are until the babies are weaned.
2006 has been a decent year, as of this AM we're up to 12 babies for 2006. Not huge, but a good number for us. We've kept our pairs limited so we don't run out of room for the chins we already have. The rescues have us at close to max capacity for chins.
Tim and I were married back in May (YAY), so thats finally out of the way. Really isn't any different, I mean we've been together for over 4 years now. Just hard getting used to signing a new last name.
It's been a very hectic year. It seems like it's just one thing after another, both good and bad. The year is seeming to just fly by, it's crazy how much can go on in such a short time.
I think that covers it in the shortest possible way...If anyone is interested in keeping up more

So, last weekend Tim and I attended the Heartland/Midwest Open Feild Days Chinchilla Show in Boone, IA. It was a BLAST! I helped out at the Ribbon Table while Tim took notes on the judges notes. The Judge was Ralph Shoots from Ohio.
I won a neat little chinchilla cookie cutter (only because the person who actually won gave it up since she had already won something and my number was the next one drawn) It's super cute, I need to make some cookies with it.
We went down with the intent of not buying any chinchillas, but of course once we got there that changed and I got a spending limit of $300. Whether that went to 1-$300 or 6-$50 animals didn't matter. We browsed through and picked out ones we were interested in, and we ended up bringing home a 1A male, a 1st place female and a black vevlet female (who we plan to show at February's show)
So yeah, I'm just super pumped. I've posted photos of the new chins. Their just loverly!

It's Official...

I know I haven't been on much...not that I'm very artsy, but I have been keeping up on my Devwatches 
On to the official news, I'm happy to say that Tim and I are officially engaged. He got me a ring on Tuesday!! No official plans for a wedding yet, but we're one step closer. hehe.
HOpe all is well with everyone, just a note to say I'm still alive!

ok, at least it's not just here that I"m bad about updating. I haven't taken any new decent pictures of any of the animals in weeks. I just haven't felt in the piccy taking mood. What can you do right. Nothing new to share...
